Three Billy Goats Gruff
The two cats and one dog (our version of three billy goats) have been inordinately interested in what is going on under the back deck. The "troll" living under the "bridge" emerged today.
I guess he was looking for some sun. I hope he finds lots of sun elsewhere.
I like having black snakes around because they keep poisonous snakes away. But I prefer they stay not quite so close to the house. We have 57 acres for them to live on. You'd think they would prefer a place with fewer humans and inquisitive animals.
I'm hoping he takes up residence elsewhere.

Boy, he's a big one! Don't blame you for wishing he lived further out, but he looks well fed :) I found a small snake in our patio garden a couple of days ago. I'm not afraid, but it did take me by surprise....now, I'm using my gloves to pull weeds from just in case we have a little copperhead hanging about somewhere. (btw, the one I found was an "earth snake" I've been told)
ReplyDeleteA copperhead would really scare me! I grew up with trips to the desert and rattlesnakes. At least they warn you! I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to garden with one. Maybe you would like an extra black snake I have available for copperhead removal purposes.
DeleteShe's your house guardian angel! Whatcha gonna name her? Lucille has already been used, but maybe Lucy????
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping she will be unseen and therefore unnamed!
